Mountain Sounds

So while I was in the studio with Valise, I had the pleasure of working with my friends in a great new band called Mountain Sounds. This is one of the videos that came from it. There should be more soon and I’ll post those too. Don’t forget to pick up their new record on March 26th.

NOW! Enjoy “Find That Man”.

Making a record with Valise at The Vanguard Room

WELP, I’ve been here in Lakeland, FL for the past three weeks finishing up writing and preproduction for Valise’s upcoming full length record (Title TBD). We started tracking a few days ago and we’re moving right along now. It’s been a blast so far. Love how the songs are turning out. Can’t wait to share this record with you guys. I’ll leave you with this studio update video.

Update: The Running Back, Valise: Writing/Monster release, We Shot the Moon

A couple weekends ago, I had the opportunity to fly to Orlando, FL for a weekend of worship with some guys I’ve waited about 5 or 6 years to play with. Enter Nashville’s The Running Back. I’m so excited to be playing with these guys. Incredible musicians and seriously talented songwriters (not to mention some of my absolute best friends.) I’ll be flying to Little Rock this weekend to lead with these guys again. Can’t wait. Excited to see what the future holds for me and The Running Back.

Here at home, I’ve been real busy lately with Valise constantly writing and tweaking for our upcoming full length record. We are set to record January and February 2013. These songs are coming out SO cool. I cannot wait to get them tracked and out to the world.┬áSpeaking of out to the world, Valise just released a two song single titled “Monster”. We actually have physical copies of this for sale at our online store. For a preview, check out my Music┬átab at the top and listen track 2 from this single named “Digadig”. Super proud of that song.

Finally, I was recently brought on board with a band called We Shot The Moon. Super fun pop-centered rock. I was very happy to snag this gig. Made up of some super solid musicians, we were able to get together and had a set ready to go in one short rehearsal. Really enjoyed my first show with Jonathan and WSTM. Looking forward to more dates soon.

That’s all for now. Thanks for reading. Check out my music tab for some new tunes. I’m working on keeping this up to date so keep an eye out for more updates!

TJ Broscoff

I’m excited to announce that I’m now playing with BGM Records Artist TJ Broscoff. Rehearsed with his band last night in Dallas and I’m looking forward to what’s to come for this group. Pumped about this opportunity.

July-August Valise tour 1.0

Well, this is a little bit behind as I finally just got my computer back. Anyway, I’m currently in Nashville with Valise. Enjoying this tour with our friends Author. Good band, good dudes. It’s been really cool to go to so many new places… Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois (I was stoked to see Chicago), Michigan, Ohio, and so on. We’ve had a few days off in Nashville so we’ve been playing acoustic sets here and there. Played at Hotel Indigo on Tuesday. That was great. So much talent in this city. Headed to Georgia tomorrow. Just about done with the first half of the tour. I’m gonna try to remember to update this page at the end of the tour. Thanks for reading!

Tour update 1.0

Well, the Valise tour has been pretty great so far. Orlando was fantastic. Lots of friends out there and playing with bands as great as Lovedrug always makes for a great time.

We had the day off in Lakeland on Saturday. That was awesome. We made home-made waffle sticks, played some Kan-Jam (the best frisbee game ever), I swam in a nasty pond by myself due to a rogue frisbee, swam in a swimming pool on the lake, made some awesome tacos, and watched one of my all time favorite movies (Almost Famous). A great day that we dubbed “Best Day Ever”.

We’re in Atlanta now. We played a show last night at Smith’s Olde Bar and we’ve got another show on Friday at The Five Spot. I’m excited to have a few days off here in ATL. We’re gonna check out Tony Hawk’s newest skatepark and play some more Kan-Jam! Maybe see some sights.

Keep an eye out for the next update. Thanks!

March Madness!

Well, March has been an exciting month. Valise has been supporting Lovedrug over the past few weeks. Super exciting for me. One of my favorite bands for a long time. Can’t wait to play with these guys again on Friday in Orlando!

Played at House Of Blues Dallas this past week with JT Dale and luckily for me, blues legend George Thorogood happened to be playing in the next room. Watched that show with my dad who started giving me my blues background 25 years ago. One of my favorite memories. B-b-b-b-b-bad to the bone.

I’ll be playing at Lake Pointe Rockwall’s Man Church tomorrow night and then jumping in a van and leaving for tour with Valise. So pumped to get back on the road with these guys. Exercising my passion in a new city every night via a month long road trip with three of my best friends… Yes, please. I’m going to do my best to keep an updated tour journal right here, so keep an eye on my home page!

Finally- if you missed it at the beginning of the month, check out the Featured Artist article that Art House Dallas did about me here. (Bottom center of front page.)
